Payments

You are here:

Sintel Forms can be integrated with Stripe, allowing you to securely accept online payments from customers.

The integration is simple to set up using the Sintel Forms Designer, but please note:

  • You must have a Stripe account to enable payments.
  • Stripe integration is configured separately for each form template—if you want to use Stripe across multiple forms, you must configure each one individually.

Getting Started with Stripe Integration

To enable Stripe payments for a form, follow these steps:

1. Open the Payments Settings

  • Open the Sintel Forms Designer for the form where you want to set up Stripe.
  • Navigate to the Settings screen and click on the Payments tab.
  • By default, Stripe integration will be in Test mode.

2. Understanding Test Mode

  • In Test mode, you cannot process real payments.
  • Test mode allows you to set up and test transactions using Stripe’s test credit card numbers.
  • For more details on testing, visit the Stripe testing page.

    3. Connecting Your Stripe Account

    • While in Test mode, click ‘Connect Stripe Account’.
    • A new browser tab will open, prompting you to enter the email address linked to your Stripe account.
    • Do not click ‘Skip this form’—this may cause issues with the connection.
    • If you accidentally close the Stripe tab, click ‘Retry Connection’ on the Payments screen to restart the process.

    4. Confirming the Connection

    • Once successfully logged in, you will see a confirmation screen from Stripe.
    • Close the tab and return to Sintel Forms.
    • Click ‘Check Connection’ in the Payments settings to confirm that the integration is working.

      5. Switching to Live Mode

      • If you are satisfied that everything is working correctly, you can switch out of Test mode.
      • To finalise the setup, disconnect and reconnect your Stripe account in Live mode.

      Important Notes

Payments are configured per form template – If you export a form template to another site, you will need to reconfigure Stripe integration for that form.

For security reasons, the Sintel Forms “Export Configuration” option does not include any Stripe connection details.
