Workflow emails not being received by distribution lists or mail-enabled security groups

Workflow-related emails are not being received by distribution lists or mail-enabled security groups.

  Resolution

If you want Sintel Forms to be able to send emails to a distribution list or mail-enabled security group you must first ensure that they are configured to accept emails from external users.

Configuring this in the Exchange admin center of Microsoft 365 is pretty easy. Simply open the Exchange admin center and select the relevant distribution list or mail-enabled security group and change its setting to enable it to receive email from external users by selecting “Senders inside and outside of my organization

 

Emails sent to users within your organisation come from Site Name <no-reply@sharepointonline.com with 1 exception, distribution lists. Emails sent to distribution lists come from notifications@sintelforms.com but if you’d like them to come from Site Name <no-reply@sharepointonline.com you simply have to add the DL as a member of a mail-enabled security group and then configure the workflow emails to send to that mail-enabled security group.
