What is a form

We define a form as a template containing data fields, a custom layout for those fields and optionally a workflow and logic. Our product is licensed based on the number of templates you have configured and not the number of forms that your users have submitted using those templates. For example if you have an employee ideas form and a site inspection form we consider these 2 individual form templates and you can permit users to submit an unlimited number of each of these 2 form templates. In this example Sintel Forms Lite (which is completely free) would permit you to setup the forms you need.

What is a user

A user is any person with access to either your Microsoft 365 tenant (SharePoint Online) or your SharePoint on-premise environment. Once Sintel Forms is added to your Microsoft 365 tenant/SharePoint on-premise environment all users with access to those environments have the potential to use it.

How many people can design forms

This is not actually restricted in any way by Sintel and any user can design forms once the Sintel Forms Add-in has been added to a site and they have the “Manage Lists” permission on that particular site. This permission is available with the Edit, Design and Full Control permission levels and we recommend that you grant users this access by placing them into a SharePoint group that has that permission level applied to it. Many of our customers actually create a specific SharePoint group for this purpose calling it “Sintel Forms Designers” and applying the “Edit” permission level to it. This restricts the use of the Sintel Forms Designer to a limited number of users so that only a select few have the ability to design forms which helps ensure consistency of form design across an organisation.
