Field and Section Validation

Sintel Forms allows you to add validation to any Field or Section on a form.

Field Validation

  1. Launch Sintel Forms from the ribbon menu and choose the “Layout” screen.
  2. Select a field, in this case, we will use the Person Field.
  3. Once it’s selected use the Properties Panel on the right to set its State to “Mandatory”.

  4. Save the change and test it, it should appear as follows:

Section Validation

  1. Launch Sintel Forms from the ribbon menu and choose the “Layout” screen.
  2. Select a section.
  3. Once it’s selected use the Properties Panel on the right to set it’s State to “Mandatory”.

  4. Save the change and test it, it should appear as follows:

States can be overridden on the field level such that you can make a section mandatory but override this on any particular field within the section.

 And that’s it validation is configured!
