Workflow Status Widget

The Workflow Status widget displays the current status of a form item based on the statuses defined in the Workflow tab.

What Is the Workflow Status Widget?

The Workflow Status widget shows the current stage of a form within its business process.

The status displayed is determined by:

• The statuses you define in the Workflow tab
• The actions users complete
• The current position of the item in the workflow

It provides a clear visual indicator of where the form sits in its process.

How It Works

When you configure workflow statuses such as:  Draft, Submitted, Approved, Rejected and Completed, the Workflow Status widget will automatically display whichever status the item is currently in.

If no workflow is configured, the widget will display a message indicating that no status is available.

How to Add the Workflow Status Widget

1. Open the Layout tab in the Designer.
2. Select Widgets in the left panel.
3. Drag and drop Workflow Status onto your form.
4. Position it within a section (commonly near the top of the form).

The widget will automatically reflect the workflow configuration.

When to Use the Workflow Status Widget

Use the Workflow Status widget when:

• Your form has an approval or review process

• Users need visibility of the current stage

• Status tracking is important

• The form moves through multiple defined steps

It is especially useful in approval-based forms.

Remember

• Avoid adding the widget without configuring workflow statuses.
• Note that the widget does not control workflow it only displays the current status.
• Note that status colour and behaviour are managed in workflow configuration.
