Sintel Apps Email Delivery

Sintel Apps uses Postmark to send form notification emails on behalf of our customers.

We use Postmark to improve the reliability, security, and deliverability of emails sent from Sintel Apps.

Why do we use Postmark?

Postmark is a specialist transactional email service designed for sending important application emails.

Using Postmark helps us to:

• Improve email deliverability and reduce the likelihood of messages being marked as spam.
• Deliver emails more quickly and reliably.
• Monitor email delivery and identify delivery issues such as bounces or spam complaints.
• Provide a secure, scalable email delivery platform for all Sintel Apps customers.

What information is shared?

To deliver emails, the following information is transmitted to Postmark:

• Recipient email address
• Email subject
• Email content
• Delivery information, such as successful delivery, bounces, and spam complaints

This information is processed solely for the purpose of delivering emails and maintaining the reliability of our email service.

Data protection and GDPR

Postmark acts as a data processor on behalf of Sintel Apps.

Postmark provides a Data Processing Addendum (DPA) that incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international data transfers and supports compliance with the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Where is email data processed?

Postmark processes email data using infrastructure located in the United States.

International transfers are protected using the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as part of Postmark’s GDPR compliance framework.

How long is email data retained?

By default, Postmark retains email content and related delivery metadata for up to 45 days. This allows investigation in the scenario where there are delivery issues.

After this retention period, email content is removed from Postmark’s systems in accordance with their data retention policy.

Security

Postmark uses industry-standard security measures to protect customer data, including:

• Encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) for email transmission.
• Secure, professionally managed data centres.
• Strong access controls and monitoring.
• Secure storage of account credentials and API keys.
